Funeral services for Dale Hodson, 66, of Osage, were held on Monday, December 16 at United Methodist Church in St. Ansgar. Rev. L. Johnson officiated. Mr. Hodson died on Thuirsday, December 12 at his home. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Forest City.
Mr. Hodson was born on May 13, 1919 at Lake Mills, to Ivan and Mable (Hanna) Hodson. He graduated from Forest City High School. He and Leatrice Christiansen were married in 1939.
The couple farmed near Hanlontown until 1948 when they moved to Taopi, Minnesota. They farmed there until moving to a farm near Osage in 1964. They left farming in 1975 when they moved to Osage. Mr. Hodson then worked as an equipment operator for Mitchell County Road Maintenance Dept. He retired in 1984.
Preceding him in death was his wife, who died in 1979.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James (Margaret) Twait of Hibbing, Minnesota, and Sharon Hodson of Osage; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Norbert (Leora) Hogbin of Joice and Mrs. Irvin (Nita Mae) Benjegerdes of Manly; and a brother, Ivan Hodson of Farmington, Minnesota.
