Ellen Jorgensen

Mrs. Maurice (Ellen) Jorgensen, 76, died Wednesday at her Dade City, Florida home.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage. Rev. Joseph B. Nesheim officiated at the service with burial in the Osage Cemetery.

Ellen Jorgensen was born December 25, 1908 at Ruskin, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Thorvald and Marie (Jensen) Jorgensen. She was baptized and confirmed in Bethany Lutheran Church of Ruskin.

Ellen taught school in the Ruskin area before her marriage to Maurice Jorgensen in 1930. They moved to the Riceville area in 1940 and lived in Osage since 1945.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband Maurice; three daughters Mrs. Omer (DeLoy) Wilson of Waterloo,
Mrs. James (Bonnie) Williams, New Brighton, Minn. and Mrs. John (Velda) LaCoste of Floyd; one son Wilmer of Osage; one sister Mrs. Harold (Emily) Nelson, Kent, Wash.; three brothers, Aage Jorgensen of Eugene, Oregon, Ira Jorgensen of Orland, California and Ted Jorgensen of Chico, California; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
