ST. ANSGAR, IOWA -- Services for Ralph E. Duncomb, 70, who died Thursday at his home, will be tomorrow, March 15, 1971, at the United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Riceville.
Survivors include his wife, Edith; four daughters: Mrs. Laverne Nelson of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Harvey Hoverson of Austin, Minnesota, Mrs. Leroy Steward of Stacyville and Mrs. Clayton Twedt of Rochester, Minnesota; four sons: Richard and Lawrence, both of St. Ansgar, Robert of Estherville and Kenneth of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and two brothers, Bert of Riceville and Paul of Tripoli.
Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Ralph E. Duncomb, 70, were held Monday at the United Methodist church in St. Ansgar. Rev. D. Callen was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery at Riceville, with Schroeder and Houg in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Duncomb died Thursday at his home in St. Ansgar, following a lingering illness.
Ralph Edwin Duncomb was born on October 16, 1900, in Chickasaw county, Iowa, the son of William Henry and Sarah Jane McCaughey Duncomb. He was baptized at the Methodist church in Riceville in his youth and remained a life-long member of the United Methodist Church.
In 1929 he was united in marriage to Edith Powell at New Hampton, Iowa. They made their home on a farm near Riceville, living there for seven years; then farming near Meyer, Little Cedar and Meroa before moving to a farm south of St. Ansgar in 1948. In 1966 Mr. and Mrs. Duncomb moved to their present home in St. Ansgar. Mr. Duncomb remained active in work on the farm until December 1970.
Preceding him in death were his parents, four sisters, and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Edith; four daughters: Mrs. LaVerne (Grace) Nelson of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Harvey (Laura) Hoverson of Austin, Mrs. Leroy (Marietta) Steward of Stqacyville, mrs. Clayton Twedt of Rochester; four sons, Richard and Lawrence of St. Ansgar, Robert of estgherville, and CW2 Kenneth Duncomb of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; 26 grandchildren; and two brothers, Bert of Riceville and Paul of Tripoli.
