RITES MONDAY AT OSAGE FOR CHRIS LARSON

OSAGE, IOWA – Funeral services for Chris Larson, 79, former Osage blacksmith and farmer, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Savior Lutheran Church here.

Burial was in Osage Cemetery. The Rev. Obert. Hoven and the Rev. R. M. Christensen officiated.

Mr. Larson died Saturday at the Rockford Convalescent Home, Rockford, where he had been confined for 14 months.

He was born in Denmark and married Mathilda Petersen in Clear Lake in 1914. They lived in Ruskin and Nora, Nebraska before moving to Osage in 1941.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters; Mrs. Victor Laird of Kearney, Nebraska; and Ms. Clair Jensen of Omaha, Nebraska; two sons Edvin of Waterloo and Wendell of Detroit, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and one brother; Lars in Denmark.
