Osage – Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home, for a lifelong resident of Mitchell County, Mrs. Elsie Jacobs, 87. She died Wednesday morning at the Osage Nursing Home. The Rev. Norman F. Brooks, pastor of the First congregational church, Osage, will officiate, with burial in the Osage Cemetery.

Elsie Richardson was born December 29, 1876 in Mitchell County to Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Richardson.

She was married January 12, 1898 at St. Ansgar to C. B. Jacobs. They farmed in Burr Oak Township, Mitchell County 40 years, retiring to Osage in 1942. Mr. Jacobs died in 1946.

She is survived by a brother, Eldie Richardson, Osage. She was a charter member of the Mutual Improvement Club, also a member of royal Neighbors Lodge, and active in Farm Bureau work until her health failed.

Elsie Richardson was born December 29, 1876 in Mitchell Co., the daughter of Edgar Richardson and Julia (Maxham) Richardson. She married Charles Burton Jacobs , the son of Joseph Jacobs and Mary Jane (Miller) Jacobs
