Clara Hanson-Rust was born September 1884 in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Stengrin and Gumbjor (Rauk) Hanson-Rust. (1900 US Census)

Her parents are listed in the First Lutheran Cemetery as Stengrim H. Rust and Gumbjor Rust.

Apparently somewhere along the way the name Rust was added to Hanson.

Clara married Herman Halvorson, the son of Ole and Bertha Halvorson.
