Funeral Held For
Omer Crosser, 60

Mr. and Mrs. Darvin Crosser and family, Mr. and Mrs. Darell Crosser and children and Mrs. Elsie Meyer of Osage attended the funeral of Omer Crosser, 60, father of Darvin (Doc) Crosser and Darrell Crosser in Spencer Saturday.

Mr. Crosser had appeared often in Osage with the Eddie Miller Combo, entertaining at both the American Legion and Sunny Brae County club.

Other from this area to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Millard, Roman Pelleymounter, Lester Decker, Ray Patteson, Arlyn Gesell and Kenneth E. Anderson.

CROSSER-KRAGER -- wedding 1928

Mr. Omer Crosser of Hartley, Iowa and Miss Esther Krager of Everly, Iowa were married Wednesday afternoon, October 10, 1928, at the parsonage of the Church of Christ, West 4th Street, Spencer. The ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. F. Hurst, pastor of the church, at three o'clock in the presence of the bride groom's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Goyette of Spencer. The bride wore an orchid hand painted taffeta dress with accessories to harmonize. She carried a bouquet of white and orchid carnations and asters. Mr. Crosser wore a grey business suit.

Mrs. Crosser is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Krager who have lived on a farm in Westport township the past three years. She attended the rural schools and since then has been at home with her parents.

The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Crosser of Hartley, and is a musician with the Spencer Night Hawks orchestra, playing the trumpet.

Mr. and Mrs. Crosser left last Friday for a weeks trip to Chicago, upon their return they will make their home in Spencer.

Wednesday evening the bridal party were guests at dinner at the home of the bride's parents at 5:30 o'clock and then the group went to a dance at the Henry Roberts bowery. Mac Gayette and his Night Hawks, furnished the music.
