OSAGE, IOWA - Sharon Kay (Adams) Shaw, 69, of Osage died on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at her home in Osage. Cremation has taken place.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Orchard Cemetery in Orchard with Pastor Gary Gilbert officiating. Following services there will be a gathering of family and friends at the family home at 411 N. Seventh St., Osage.

Sharon was born on October 5, 1941, at Little Cedar. She attended Orchard School. Sharon married Howard Shaw on June 14, 1980, in Osage. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at several nursing homes. Sharon enjoyed genealogy, home decorating, painting, working in her flower garden, dancing and crocheting.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Howard Shaw of Osage; her children, Roy Bearbower of Shellsburg, Ronald (Linda) Bearbower of Cedar Rapids, Ronda (Charles) Maurer of Pensacola, Fla., Roxanne (Jesse) Robles of Anacortes, Wash., Richard (Lahonda) Bearbower of Cedar Rapids, Howard Junior Shaw of Osage and Shane A. Shaw of Des Moines; two grandchildren, Kelly Bearbower and Makayla Robles; three brothers, Gary (Vietta) Sheldon of Phillipsburg, Mo., Walter (Sharon) Sheldon of Osage and Allyn (Darlene) Sheldon of Osage.

She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Bearbower; her grandparents, Vernie and Emma (Miller) Adams; her mother, Alzina (Adams) Sheldon, and her stepfather, Walter Sheldon; and her sister, JoAnn Squier.
