of Osage Dies;
Rites TuesdayOSAGE, IOWA — Funeral services for Frederick Havig, 77, will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Osage Lutheran Fellowship Hall, with burial in the Osage cemetery. He died Sunday at his home in Osage following an illness.
Mr. Havig was born at St. Ansgar, November 22, 1875, son of Ole and Marie (Erickson) Havig. He was married to Ida Fredericka Hartwig of Grafton on October 30, 1921. They established their home at Osage where they since resided. He followed the occupation of carpenter.
Survivors include the widow; sons Alton of Mason City, Everett and Melbourne of Osage; five daughters, Grace of Osage, Mrs. Roy Flesnor of Little Cedar, Mrs. Glen Richards and Mrs. James Jahmels of New Haven and Mrs. James Hughes of Riceville, 17 grandchildren, three brothers, Alfred and Martin of Osage and Chester of Clarksville; and four sisters, Mrs. Olga Thorson, Mrs. Alice Shoger and Mrs. Josephine Havig of Osage, and Mrs. Mae Crooks of Nashua.
