Clinton Roberts Services

#1:

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 26 at the Champion Funeral Home for Clinton Roberts, 89, of Osage, who died on Friday, January 22, 1982, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

Reverends George Hope and John Gilbert officiated at the service. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Clinton Roberts was born January 16, 1893 to Claire and Alice McClain Roberts, on a farm near Little Cedar. He attended school in Little Cedar and graduated from the Little Cedar High School. He then attended the Cedar Valley Seminary.

He was baptized and joined the Little Cedar Baptist Church at about the age of 14, later becoming a member of the First Baptist Church of Osage.

Clinton served for many years as a trustee for East Lincoln Township, and was a 60 year member if the Farm Bureau.

He was united in marriage to Vera Wright of Little Cedar. They farmed near there until 1936 when they moved near Orchard. They farmed there until February 1972 when they moved to their present home in Osage.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter, Helen.

He is survived by his wife Vera, and many nieces and nephews.
