MASON CITY - Debra White, 53, of Mason City, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

MASON CITY - Debra Ann (Rosenberg) White, 53, of Mason City, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

Deb White was born July 20, 1957, at the Mitchell County Hospital in Osage, the daughter of Raymond Rosenberg and Barbara [Pike] Leraaen. Deb graduated from St. Ansgar Community Schools in 1975. She graduated from Hamilton Business School in 1981.

Deb and James Brian White were united in marriage on Aug. 30, 1975, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Austin, Minnesota.

They lived in St. Ansgar, Wapello, and Northwood, before moving permanently to Mason City. Deb's greatest loves were her children, grandchildren, sewing, painting, wood working and volunteering in the Christian ministry. One of her greatest achievements was her successful alternative medicine business. She found great joy and pride in helping others.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jim White, Mason City, children William Allen White, Laramie, Wyo., Lynsee (Jayson) Lavonne Fierstine, Manchester, grandchildren Hailey Jean Fierstine and Jude Carter Fierstine, Manchester, mother Barbara (Oral) Leraaen, St. Ansgar, sisters and brothers Teri (Gary) Johnson, Elmore, Minn., Karen (Charles) Kittleson, St. Ansgar, Randy Rosenberg, Rock Island, Ill., Ricky Rosenberg, St. Ansgar, Sharon (Mark) Krebsbach, St. Joseph, Minn., Rebecca (Russell) Horak, Springville, Iowa, sister-in-law Celine Dalliere, Canada, mother-in-law Emma Rose White, Austin, Minn., sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Marcella Kathan, Osage, Dan Perkins, Rochester, Minn., Janet (Bob) Vervaecke, Osage Beach, Mich., Linda Slindee, Austin, Minn., Doug White, Austin, Minn., and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Raymond D. Rosenberg (1993), brother Raymond D. Rosenberg Jr. (1997), sister-in-law Debra (Meyer) Rosenberg (1992), grandparents Archie and Gwendolyn Pike, George and Anna Rosenberg, father-in-law Wilfred C. White, sister-in-law, Jean Perkins, brother-in-laws Imanuel Slindee, and Greg Kathan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Debra White Memorial Fund, US Bank, 124 N. Washington Ave., Mason City, IA 50401.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 23, at 11:30 a.m., at the Cedar River Complex, 1006 Chestnut St., (located at the Mitchell County Fairgrounds) in Osage.

Deb was buried in First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar, in the Rosenberg lot with her father, Raymond.
