Eldora – Mrs. Vivian Carpenter Stoughton, New York City, died February 10 (1949). She was born in Eldora Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Carpenter, and was 53.After graduating from Eldora High School in 1914 she attended the University of Iowa where she studied journalism. She worked on the Marshalltown Times Republic.
She married Galen M Stoughton of Osage and lived in Salt Lake City, Utah. After his death she went to New York City, where she did work in journalism and was sent to Germany for some work.She leaves a sister; Mrs. Imo Davidson, Nevada; and a brother, John Carpenter, Waterloo, Iowa.
