DELMER KOSTER FUNERAL HELD FIRST LUTHERAN
Funeral services for Delmer Koster, 43, who died at his farm home east of St. Ansgar June 28, 1968 were held July 2 at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. D. Comnick officiating.
Military honors were presented by the honor squad of the Walter T. Enneberg Post No. 358 of the American Legion. Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery with Rev. Comnick in charge of the committal service.
Delmer Dean Koster was born August 30, 1924 in Mitchell County, the son of Louis and Elsie Arp Koster. He attended the Fairview school and was graduated from St. Ansgar high school. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force from May 21, 1943 until receiving his honorable discharge March 5, 1946.
He was active in the American Legion, and served as commander of the Walter T. Enneberg Post.
Mr. Koster was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith by the Rev. O.A. Langehough on December 7, 1947.
He was married to Irene Nicholson October 18, 1946 at Deer Creek Lutheran church. They established their home on a farm east of St. Ansgar where he resided until the time of his death.
Mr. Koster is survived by his wife and three daughters, Patricia Jo, Pamela Sue and Peggy Ann; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Koster; a brother, Darwin, all of St. Ansgar; two sisters, Mrs. Wayne Ham of Osage and Mrs. Richard Hyland, Hayfield, Minn.; also a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Marlin.
