Carl Henry Hanson was born February 8, 1873 on the Hanson farm north of St. Ansgar. He was baptized in infancy by Rev. J. Olsen.
On account of his affliction, he was not confirmed at the usual age but at his own request he was instructed by Rev. Olsen at a later age and was confirmed by him in the year 1899.
He lived a quiet life on the farm until 1903 when the family moved to St. Ansgar.
During the last four years he suffered off and on with a lingering disease which finally caused his death. He slept peacefully away September 29, 1916.
He is survived by his mother, seven sisters and one brother.
The funeral took place Sunday, October 1, at the home, Rev. Waldeland officiating. Interment at the U.N.L. cemetery at St. Ansgar.
