MASON CITY, IOWA - Dr. Dale N. Rosenberg, 82, of Mason City, died Friday at the I.O.O.F. Home, Mason City.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, January 11, at Messiah Lutheran Church, Mason City. Burial will be in the Grafton Cemetery, Grafton, Iowa.
A visitation was held from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, January 10, at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar, Iowa.
Dale was born in St. Ansgar, on December 12, 1928, and married Delrose Hermanson on September 10, 1950. He entered the United States Air Force and received a Bronze Star for Valor as a result of action performed while serving in the Korean Conflict.
Dale received his Bachelor of Science degree from Mankato State College in 1956, Master of Education from the University of South Dakota in 1959 and Doctor of Arts in Education from the University of Central Arizona in 1978.
Throughout a nearly 40-year career as author and educator, Dr. Rosenberg served as a guidance counselor, principal and teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Delrose A. Rosenberg of Mason City; daughter, Jean Hartwell and her husband, David; son, Dr. James Rosenberg and his wife, Darla; daughters, Julie Nazar and Lisa Rosenberg; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Gene Rosenberg and sisters Evelyn Fox and Janice Weinschenk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Ella Rosenberg, and brothers Glenn and Wayne.

NOTES: His mother was Ella Amanda Maria Kirchgatter (1898-1990). His father was Edmund Herman Rosenberg (1899-1968). Dale's middle name is Norman.
