Clair Jacobson 1910-1933
DIED IN IOWA CITY
Osage – Nov. 13 – Funeral arrangements were made today being made for Clair Jacobson, 23, who died at the University Hospital Saturday from injuries received following a hunting accident Wednesday.
With his Brother-in-law, Wilbur Weed, he was hunting rabbits when his gun backfired, shooting away the right side of his face. Examination afterward showed the gun had not been properly locked. He was given blood transfusions in an effort to save his life.
Surviving are his wife, formerly Delma Collel, to whom he was married about a year and a half ago; his mother Mrs. Jacob Jacobson, and a sister, Mrs. Wilbur Weed. His father died about a year and a half ago. A brother, Kenneth, died as the result of a fall in a local skating rink about four years ago.
