FORMER OSAGE RESIDENT DIES
MRS. WILBUR WEED DIES IN DIXON ILLINOIS HOSPITAL
Osage – Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 at Shellady’s Funeral Home for a former Osage resident, Mrs. Wilbur Weed, 36, who died at a Dixon, Ill., hospital. Death followed a major operation. Service will be in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly, Congregational pastor, with burial in the Osage Cemetery.
Florence Jacobsen was born at Leland, September 5, 1907, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jacobsen. As a child, she moved with her parents to Osage, and there attended the Osage schools.
At the age of 17, she married Wilbur Weed. They lived in Osage until 1942, when they moved to Sterling, Ill., then to Dixon, their present home.
Surviving are her husband, 2 sons, Seaman 2/c William Eugene Weed, Norman, Oklahoma, and Robert Luverne Weed, at home, her mother, Semina Jacobsen, Osage, and a sister, Mrs. Oliver Cummings, Osage.
