DOROTHY T. WAGEMAN

STACYVILLE - Dorothy T. Wageman, 86, died Wednesday (Feb. 14, 2001) at Stacyville Community Nursing Home.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville.

Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 7 :30 p.m. today at Visitation Catholic Church, with a rosary beginning at 4 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Dorothy was born on June 24, 1914, in Stacyville, to Valentine and Ida (Smith) Brown.

She married Roy Wageman on Nov. 26, 1935, in Stacyville. She was a life-long resident of Stacyville. Dorothy was a member of Christian Mothers and Catholic Order of Foresters.

Dorothy is survived by six sons, Robert and his wife, Juanita, of Stacyville, Daniel and his wife, Suzann, of Stacyville, James and his wife, Theresa , of St. Louis, Mo., Michael and his wife, Jill, of Bloomington, Minn., William Timothy and his wife, Rebecca, of West Branch, and Thomas and his wife, Jane, of Mason City; four daughters, Mary and her husband, Stanley Jurkowski, of Portland, Ore., Kathryn and her husband, Seppo Valppu, of Duluth, Minn., Susan and her husband, Richard Schrandt, of Caldwell, Idaho, and Joan and her husband, James Thompson, of Cedar Falls; a daughter-in-law, Susan Wageman of Austin, Minn.; 34 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Gary; two brothers, Carl and Walter Brown; four sisters, Ann Guffy, Isabelle Keitges, Irmine Olson and Leona Neuhaus.
