Obituary of Mrs. Wm. McCulla
Hannah McCulla was born in Boston, Mass., in the year 1844, and died in Mitchell, Ia., July 13, aged 68 years.
When a child she moved to Elkader, Ia., and was married to William McCulla in the year 1864.
Mr. and Mrs. McCulla moved to Mitchell, Ia., in 1867 and have made it their place of residence since. To them were born three children, Mrs. Hattie Griffin, who is deceased, Mrs. Weight of Waterloo and L. W. McCulla of Kansas.
Mrs. McCulla had been in poor health for some time, but the end came so suddenly that relatives and friends were shocked to know that she had been taken away so quickly.
Soon after coming to Mitchell she joined the Methodist church of Mitchell and remained a consistent member till her death.
The funeral services were held at the home last Sunday. Interment was at the Osage cemetery. Rev. Irving L. Mellott officiating.
