ELMER MILLARD DIES IN OSAGE
Surviving Are Two Sons, 4 Daughters

Osage – Elmer Millard, 89, died Tuesday morning at his home from infirmities of old age. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but are to be conducted at the Champion funeral home in charge of the Rev. John Kern, Baptist minister.

He was born December 16, 1853 in Libertyville, Lake Co., Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Millard. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He spent his boyhood in Illinois, coming to Iowa in 1871, and had resided in Osage since that time.

Mr. Millard ws married in 1877 to Mary Nicholas of Libertyville, Illinois, who preceded him in death. He ws married in 1931 to Pearl Trego, Osage, who died in 1942.

Surviving are two sons, James, Sasketchewan, Canada; and Reed, Osage; four daughters; Mrs. C. H. Woodiwiss; Mrs. G. O. Lashbrook; and Mrs. Harry Johnson, Osage; and Mrs. Inez Dunn, Bloomington, Illinois; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
