RICEVILLE, IOWA — Margaret Weigle, 77, died Saturday, February 14, 1998, at the Riceville Community Rest Home.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Lindstrom Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited by St. Anne's Rosary Society and the Knights of Columbus at 4 p.m., and a scripture service at 7:30 p.m.

Margaret Weigle was born on August 27, 1920, in Riceville.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin, of Riceville; one son, Robert, of Smyrna, Georgia; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Mark Sloan of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Melvin Weigle Married Margaret Mary Sloan

Riceville – Staff Sgt. Melvin Weigle, son of Mrs. Leora Weigle, and Miss Margaret Mary Sloan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Sloan, were married August 22, 1944 in the Immaculate Conception Church in Riceville, by the Rev. Father Mayer of New Haven.
