STACYVILLE — Francis A. Heimerman, 80, died on Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, at the Stacyville Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Visitation Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the Visitation Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. today at the church, with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.
Francis was born on October 5, 1917, at Stacyville, the son of Mike and Anna (Rauen) Heimerman. He attended Visitation School in Stacyville. He served four years in the Air Force during World War II. Francis married Marcene Warrington on June 10, 1947. He was a farmer in the McIntire area for 35 years, retiring to Stacyville in 1974. He was a member of the Visitation Catholic Church, the Stacyville American Legion Post 569, the Knights of Columbus, and he was a past board member of the Stacyville Nursing Home.
Survivors include his wife, Marcene Heimerman of Stacyville; four daughters, Sandy Offen and her husband, Villo, of McIntire, Sharon Theobald of Stewartville, Minn., Ann Heimerman and a special friend, Scott Potenza, of Chicago, Ill., and Mary Anderson and her husband, David, of Savage, Minn.; one son, Gene Heimerman and his wife, Sue, of Perry; three sisters, Stella Smith and her husband, Leo, of Stacyville, Rose Mullenbach of Osage, and Dorothy Larson and her husband, Loris, of Austin, Minn.; four brothers, Paul Heimerman of St. Cloud, Minn., Joe Heimerman of Evans, Colo., John "Ernie" Heimerman and his wife, Teresa, of Blooming Prairie, Minn., and Gilbert Heimerman and his wife, Shirley, of Austin; nine grandchildren, Lynnette Offen, Michelle Richardson and her husband, Randy, Keith Theobald, James Theobald, Deanne Offen, Jessica Heimerman, Daniel Offen, Eric Heimerman, and Janelle Offen; three step-grandchildren, Davis, Julia and Steven Anderson; and two great-grandchildren, Kirsten and Ryan Richardson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cecelia Gilgenbach; and three brothers, Gregor, Sylvester, and Michael Heimerman.
