Mr. J. P. Flood of Osage Succumbs to a Paralytic Stroke
Osage: Funeral services for Mrs. J. P. Flood 62, who died Friday morning at the State Hospital in Independence, following a paralytic stroke two weeks ago will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart church here. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery. Members of the Sacred Heart Rosary society will meet tonight at the Champion funeral home to recite the rosary.
Born Clara Determann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Determann, in December 1884, in Carroll County, she was married to J. P. Flood. They established their hme at West Bend, moved later to Emmetsburg, and to Osage in 1916 where they have resided since.
She is survived by her husband 1230 Main street; two daughters; Mrs. Everett Stock and Mrs. Russell Stock, both of Storm Lake, Ia; one son, Father Thomas Flood, Buffalo Center, Ia; five grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. W. J. Schmich of Carroll, Ia.
