Funeral services for Mrs. E. Palmer, who died last Wednesday, at the Jordan mortuary Monday, at 1:30 p.m. The Reverend Warner Johnson officiated.

Burial was made at the Woodbury Cemetery.

Marietta Owen was born April 15, 1847, near Millerton, Conn. When 11 years of age she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Owen, to Lyle, Minnesota. They were among the first of the early settlers to locate there.

She was married February 19, 1883, at their home near Lyle. Two sons also preceded her in death.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Magee, of Austin, Minnesota, a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter, and a brother, J. C. Owen, all of Austin.

Later in life she was married to F. L. Palmer.

She was for many years a resident of Osage, living in the north part of the town, and later moving to Austin, Minnesota.
