JEREMIAH "JERRY" M. PAJER

MITCHELL, IOWA - Jeremiah "Jerry" M. Pajer, 85, died on Monday, April 17, 2000, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage, Iowa.

Litergy of the Word funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, with Father Philip Recker officiating. Interment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Champion Funeral Home, Osage. The family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m., with a scripture service beginning at 7 p.m.

Jerry was born June 16, 1914, in Austin, Minnesota, son of Anton and Elizabeth Pajer. He lived with his family in Mitchell and Protivin, and attended schools in Mitchell.

Jerry was united in marriage to Rosie Kordos on May 28, 1938, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. They moved to Chicago, where Jerry worked as an inspector in the American Gear Defense Plant during World War II.

In 1947 they moved to Mitchell, where he eventually went into his own plumbing and heating business until he retired in 1977.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie Pajer, of Mitchell; two sons, Ronald Pajer of Covington, Ga.; and Jerry J. Pajer and his wife, Marilyn, of Snellville, Ga.; two granddaughters, Kellie Parker and her husband, Bill, of Covington, Ga., and Renee Beshel and her husband, Ed, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two grandsons, Chris Pajer and his wife, Carol, of Dunwoody, Ga., and Randy Pajer of Loganville, Ga.; great-grandsons, Brent and Hunter Parker; and great-granddaughters, Courtney and Lauren Beshel.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marie; a brother, Frank; and a step-grandson, Dennis.
