Hold Rites for Evelyn Simonsen
At Rock Creek
Funeral services for Miss Evelyn Simonsen, 44, who died of pneumonia Friday, at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, were held Monday afternoon at Rock Creek Lutheran church with burial in the Rock Creek cemetery.
Miss Simenson was born in Floyd county on October 29, 1907, the daughter of Martin and Susan (Susanna) Simonsen.
She spent the major portion of her life in Floyd county, coming to the Howard Halvorson home in the Rock Creek area four years ago. Miss Simenson had been in failing health for several years.
Survivors include three aunts, Mrs. Julia Witter of Rudd, Mrs. Effie Johnson of Northwood, and Mrs. Alma Huset of Osage. Her mother died in 1928 and her father in 1945.
