Funeral services for Morris B. Hendrickson, 76, who died in Osage Sunday, June 24, 1973, were held Wednesday, June 27 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating.

Morris B. Hendrickson, son of Henry and Elizabeth (Satre) Hendrickson, was born May 3, 1897 in St. Ansgar. He attended the St. Ansgar schools and in 1921 graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn. He spent six years in school administration work in Minnesota and North Dakota.

On August 14, 1924 he was united in marriage to Ruth Engebretson of Wesby, Wis. To this union three children were born: Jean (Mrs. Sam Edgar), Don and David.

In 1928 he returned to St. Ansgar and together with his brother, Otto managed the home farm. In 1948 he was elected a Mitchell County Supervisor which position he held for 18 years, retiring in 1966.

He was a member of First Lutheran church and held many church offices. For several years he was a member of the North Iowa Mental Health Board, president of the Iowa Supervisors Association and at the time of his death was a member of the Home Service Organization Board of Mitchell county.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three children, Mrs. Sam Edgar of Des Moines; Don of St. Ansgar and David of Keokuk; 11 grandchildren, one brother, Otto; a sister, Mrs. Mark Abbott, both of St. Ansgar.

Burial was in First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Engelstad in charge of committal services.
