OSAGE, IOWA - Genevieve M. Bray, 96, of Osage died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage with the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Inurnment will be at the Brush Point Cemetery, rural Fertile, at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage.

Genevieve was born March 9, 1913, near Fertile, the daughter of Roy and Mae (Humphrey) Larson. She graduated from Fertile High School in 1930. On Feb. 22, 1931, Genevieve married Alvin Bray at her parents' home in Fertile. They farmed near Hanlontown for 30 years and then moved to the Osage area. Alvin "Doc" died Aug. 2, 1981. Genevieve moved in to Osage in October 1981. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Esther Circle. She was also a member of Osage Senior Citizens.

Genevieve is survived by two daughters, Myrna (Melvin) Davis of Mason City and Marilyn (Mickey) Halverson of Geneseo, Ill.; one son, Dennis (Susan) Bray, of Austin, Minn.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin "Doc"; and two sisters, Eunice Petersburg and Wilma Larson.
