Remains of Wm. Horn Brought Here From Dickens, Iowa, Last Saturday for Burial
William Horn was born Nov. 24, 1854, in Rock county Wis. and passed away at Dickens, Iowa Feb. 27, 1924, aged 69 years, 3 months and 3 days. While a young man he learned the carpenter trade and later took a course in architecture at Janesville, Wis., and followed this business all his life.
From Janesville he came to Osage, Iowa, and lived here three years; then moving to Marshalltown where he worked at his trade six years, then going to Alzada, Montana. The last five years he has lived at Dickens with his nephew, Elmer Flint, and family.
Mr. Horn was next to the youngest of a family of thirteen children, three of whom survive him, two brothers - A. R. Horn of Walla Walla, Washington, and Otto Horn of Salt Lake City, Utah; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Flint of Osage.
His remains were brought to Osage Saturday, Rev. J. I. Walker having charge of the commitment service at the grave.

Cemetery SaturdayOlder residents in Burr Oak Township will be sorry to learn of the death of William Horn, who lived in that community a number of years ago. He died at Dickens, Iowa at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mary Flint, last Wednesday, from a complication of diseases, and was brought here Saturday to be buried beside relatives. A short service was conducted at the grave by Reverend J. I Walker, and one at Dickens Thursday afternoon.
William Horn was born in Wisconsin about sixty-nine years ago, and spent about thirty-three years of his life in Iowa. He never married, and when in Osage, made his home with relatives. Until two years ago he lived with a nephew, Elmer Flint, in Montana, just over the line from Belle Fourche, S.D.
He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Mable** Flint, Osage; two brothers, Otto, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Robert, of Walla Walla, Washington.
