Funeral services for Albert O. Eidahl were held Saturday afternoon at the First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar. The Rev. Olaf A. Langehough was in charge of the obsequies. Burial was in the family lot in Evergreen cemetery.

Albert Odin Eidahl was born January 29, 1882 on the Clyde farm north of St. Ansgar, Mitchell county, Iowa, the son of Ole and Antoinette Eidahl. He was baptized in early infancy and confirmed later by Pastor John Olson.

At the age of two years, his parents moved to the Eidahl farm in Newburg township where he later attended the Newburg school. Later he attended the St. Ansgar Seminary, after which he started farming the Eidahl homestead, where he has lived his entire life with the exception of two years which he spent near Marion, North Dakota, and the last year here in St. Ansgar.

On September 2, 1915, he was married to Phyllis Johnson to which union four children were born.

Mr. Eidahl had been in failing health for some time. Last January he submitted to an operation at University hospital at Iowa City. On April 14th he again returned to the University hospital and submitted to another operation. He passed away Wednesday morning May 6, 1942, from pneumonia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Oscar Eidahl.

He is survived by his four children, Dellene, Duane, Madelene and Melbourne, all of Waterloo, Iowa, and three sisters, Mrs. Andrew Groth, Mrs. Albert Hegg of Osage, and Mrs. Orval Pembrook of Lyle, Minn. and one brother, W.L. Eidahl of Cresco, and many other relatives and friends.
