ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Dec 10 - Memorial services were held at the German Lutheran Church Sunday afternoon in honor of Dr. Gerhardt Hartwig, who was killed in France.

His wife and her father, Mr. Larson, arrived here Saturday from their home at Wadena, Minnesota, and will remain for a short visit at the Hartwig home.

NOTES:
Hartwig was born 3 DEC 1888 and died on 31 October 1918. He was buried at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.

His parents were: Herman J. E. Hartwig and Alvine Mielke Hartwig.
