Andrew Dalager was born in Vang Vollers, Norway February 5th, 1854. He came with his parents to America when he was fifteen years old, and lived in Goodhue Co. for one year. He with the family moved to Mower Co., where they settled on a farm near Lansing, Minnesota.

He was married in 1880 July 1st to Olena Golberg at St. Ansgar, Iowa. Three children were born to them, Blanche and Ruth of St. Ansgar and Dr. Roy Dalager of Chicago. He was a merchant at Austin, Minn., for many years.

The deceased was reared in the Lutheran churh of which he was a member at the time of his death.

He is survived by four brothers and two sisters; Ed and Anton Dalager of Austin, Minn., Chris and Ole of North Dakota, Mrs. Sam Jackson of St. James, Minn., and Mrs. Sam Kobs of Delworth, Minn.

He died of paralysis at Kensett, Iowa, September 7, 1915 at the age of 61 years. He was buried in the Lutheran cemetery at St. Ansgar, September 9. The funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran church at St. Ansgar. Rev. Waldeland and Rev. Sigmond of Kensett, Iowa officiating. A solo "Face to Face" was sung by Mrs. C.H. Hegge of Austin.

Many beautiful flowers were given among them a spray from the Lutheran Ladies Aid of Austin, Minn.

Those from away that attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Dalager and son Clarence and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Dalager of Austin, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jackson of St. James, Minn., and Dr. and Mrs. Norman Dalager of Fertile, Iowa, and Mrs. C.A. Hegge and daughter, Neva, of Austin, Minnesota.
