The funeral of the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivar Dahl was held at the Norwegian Lutheran church, June 5th, being conducted by their pastor, Rev. M.E. Waldeland. Harley Albin Dahl was born August 5th, 1912. He was baptized by the pastor of the Norwegian Lutheran church in September and was taken sick on the 29th of May with that disease which is so much dreaded among small children, dysentery, and in spite of all medical attendance and loving care could do, his little life went out on the second day of June. The sympathy of all go out to the young parents in their irreparable loss.
On the snow white lip of a lily fair,
A heavenly dew-drop lay;
And just as we learned its charms to admire
It passed forever away.
In a rift in a golden cloud on high,
A beautiful star appears;
Enchants for an instant our wistful eye,
Then vanished and left us in tears.
Thus it was with Harley, our dearly lov'd boy
Like a flower just opened in bloom,
He tarried to fill us with hope and joy
Then fled to his heavenly home
But why should we grieve when our Savior has said
"Let the little ones come unto Me"
Though lifted from earth, your son is not dead
With Him he in glory well be.
