Rites Tuesday At Charles City for H. C. Morse

Services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m.. at the Immaculate Conception Church for Howard C. Morse, 72. He died Saturday at the Cedar Valley Hospital where he had been a patient six days. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery at New Haven. The Knights of Columbus, Rosary Society and the Sacred Heart Guild will meet at the Hauser Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Monday to recite the rosary.

Mr. Morse had been in failing health for the past three months. He was a retired sheet metal worker and for many years was employed by the Schmidt Plumbing and Heating Co., here.

His wife, Rose, preceded him in death June 16.

Mr. Morse was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Morse and was born at Orchard Dec. 25, 1887.

He is survived by one son, Arnie Morse, Charles City; two grandsons, two sisters, Mrs. Lancy Lewis, Osage; Mrs. Steve Meyer, Charles City, and a brother, Frank Morse, Greene.
