Are Held July 3
At Grafton Emmanuel Church
Funeral services for Freeda Catherine Diedrich, 96, St. Ansgar, who died Tuesday, June 30 at Maple Manor Care Facility, Osage, were held Friday, July 3 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton. With the Reverend James Fladland officiating.
Mrs. Diedrich was born August 27, 1890 in Mitchell County, the daughter of Henry and Josephine (Zerk) Dutte. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, by the Reverend George Landgrebe.
She was married to William F. Diedrich of Grafton October 14, 1910 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville. She and her husband lived on a farm northeast of Grafton all their married life, and following her husband’s death in 1941 she remained living there with her son, John.
She is survived by two sons, John at home and Harry of Grafton; a sister, Laura Dutte, Grafton; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, her husband and four brothers.
Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery.
