OBITUARY: Emilie Augusta (Daehn) Brogmus

Emilie A. Brogmus Memorial Services
Held September 25

Memorial services for Mrs. Emilie A. Brogmus, 88, who died August 17 in Great Falls, Montana, were held at the Schroeder Funeral Home here September 25 with the Rev. Norman E. Betke officiating.

Her ashes were laid to rest at Immanuel Lutheran cemtery here. Emilie Augusta Daehn Brogmus was born February 9, 1891 in Barton Township, Worth County, the daughter of Henry and Emilie (Dieterich) Daehn. She was baptized February 28, 1892 in Grafton by Rev. O. Nitardy. Her sponsors were Fred Dieterich, Emilie Zerk and Augusta Dieterich. She was confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran church, Grafton, April 8, 1906 by Rev. J. Landdeck.

She married W. F. Brogmus January 10, 1911 in Rock Township by Rev. G. A. Bishoff, and became a member of Immanuel Lutheran church in St. Ansgar in 1912. One son was born to them.

Mrs. Brogmus was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church until 1972 when she left St. Ansgar to live with her son in Great Falls, Montana.

Mrs. Brogmus is survived by her son, Theodore, of Great Falls, Montana; a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Charlotte Noble of Seattle, Washington, two brothers, Eldon Daehn of Kensett and Wilmer Daehn of Marathon, Florida; also nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William in 1937.
