Held Immanuel Lutheran

Funeral services for Miss Lydia Brogmus, 83 who died Sunday, May 17 (1970) at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, were held on Wednesday, May 20 (1970) at Immanuel Lutheran Church here with the Reverend N.E. Betke officiating.

Miss Brogmus was born November 2, 1886 in Rock Township near Grafton in Worth County, the daughter of Asmus and Eliese (Moeller) Brogmus. She was baptized Talitha Emma November 3, 1886 at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Mitchell by the Reverend J.L. Zeilinger. She was confirmed there April 8, 1900 by the Reverend John Becker.

She lived with her parents on a farm in Worth County until 1914 when they moved to St. Ansgar. She made her home here until her death. Miss Brogmus was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and it’s Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Clara, and a sister, Rosa; five brothers, Christian, William, George, Robert, Julius.

Miss Brogmus is survived by one brother, Walter of Hutchinson, Minnesota, nieces and nephews and grand niece and grand nephews.

Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with Reverend N.E. Betke in charge of the committal services.
