Funeral services for Mrs. Belle B. Albertson, 92, pioneer and longtime resident of St. Ansgar, who died December 24, 1982 at St. Mary's hospital, Rochester, Minnesota, were held December 28 at First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Don Comnick of Milroy, Minnesota, officiating.

Belle Burroughs Albertson was born in St. Ansgar October 27, 1890, the daughter of Warner P. and Hattie (Martin) Burroughs. She became a confirmed member of First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar during the ministry of the Rev. Olaf A. Langehough. She attended and graduated from St. Ansgar high school and learned the millinery trade in St. Paul, Minnesota. She married Lewis Albertson June 14, 1916, and two children were born to them.

Mrs. Albertson worked as a telephone operator for 40 years. She was a charter member of the local American Legion Auxiliary and Happy Hour Club. She was a current member of these organizations at the time of her death. Also she had been a member of the Eastern Star, White Shrine, Knights of Pythias Lodge and the Wa-Tan-Ye club.

Mrs. Albertson was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Virginia, who died at birth, her husband, Lewis from whom she was divorced in 1930.

She is survived by her son, Don and daughter-in-law, Peggy Jo of Minnetonka, Minn.; three nieces, Mrs. Hazel Carrison and Mrs. John Metz of Osage and Mrs. Mary Lou Moody of Hudson, Wisconsin; a nephew, William Clyde of Providence, R.I.; cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis West of St. Ansgar and Mr. and Mrs. Al Ostlund of Minneapolis, Minnesota; also other cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Comnick in charge of committal services.
