DEATH TAKES MRS. BERNARD STUBBERUD
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Lutheran Church for Mrs. Bernhard A. Stubberud, the Reverend O. M. Langehough of Lyle, officiating.
Mrs. Stubberud passed away March 18, [1931] at the age of 35 years, 9 months and 27 days, death being caused by leakage of the heart. She had been in ill health for the past eleven years, gradually failing the last two months.
Obituary
Pearl E. Stubberud was born to Edward and Josie Grovo, on a farm near St. Ansgar, May 22, 1895. She was baptized by the Reverend Olsen and at the usual age was confirmed by the Reverend M. E. Waldeland in the First Lutheran Church of St. Ansgar, to which she remained a member until her death.
All through her illness she was a patient sufferer and she enjoyed hearing of her Savior and often spoke of Him as her best physician.
When but a small girl of 10 years her mother passed away.
On October 31, 1917, she was united in marriage with Bernhard A. Stubberud. To this union were born two children, a son, Emanuel Alfred who died in infancy, and a daughter, Jurine Louise, who lives to mourn her loss.
Besides her husband and daughter she is survived by her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Grovo, one brother, Orlando, and one sister, Irene, of Lyle, and a number of other relatives.

There is naught that I can fear”Those from away who came to attend the funeral were Mrs. Harry Broken of Albert Lea, Minnesota; Mrs. Earnest Perry of Northwood, Iowa; Miss Rose Grovo of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Woodiwiss. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Havig, Miss Jessie Woodiwiss and Mrs. Luther Woodiwiss, all of Osage, Iowa; Miss Alma Anderson, Arthur Hofland and family of Austin, Minnesota; Mrs. Chris Peterson and John, Ervin and Alvin Anderson of Adams, Minnesota.
