STRANDBERG, Lois 1942-1988
Funeral services were held at 10 A.M., Saturday, May 21, 1988 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Osage, for Mrs. Charles (Lois) Strandberg, 45, of Osage who died Wednesday, May 19, 1988 at a Rochester, Minnesota hospital.
The Reverend Dennis Hanson officiated. Burial was at the Dayton Community Cemetery, Dayton.
Mrs. Standberg was born September 16, 1942, in Fort Dodge to Fred and Ruth (Anderson) Schendemann. A 1960 graduate of Dayton High School, she received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Northern Iowa in 1964. In 1969 she received her master’s degree at Sougheastern State College in Durant, Oklahoma.
On August 1, 1964, she married Charles Strandberg in Dayton. They had made their home in Osage for many years.
Mrs. Strandberg was a former teacher in the Osage schools and was a sales representative for World Book Encyclopedia and Shaklee Products in the Osage area.
She was active in the Cub Scouts and was a Tiger Cub organizer. She was also the Live Angels organizer at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles, Osage; two sons, James and John, both at home; one brother, Lyle Schwendemann, Humboldt; her parents, Fred and Ruth Schwendemann, Dayton; and a grandfather, Theo Anderson, Kansas City, Missouri.
