(Obituary)Funeral services were held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, May 23, 1988, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, for Eldo Scott, 72, of rural Osage, who died Thursday, May 19, 1988 at home.
Paul Elliott of the Gospel Hall, Aplington, officiated. Burial was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.
Mr. Scott was born September 8, 1915, near Klemme to Hans and Sophronia (Fuller) Scott. He attended rural schools near Klemme and Ventura.
On July 15, 1942, he married Jene Epple in Austin, Minnesota. They farmed north of Clear Lake on the family farm until 1957 when they moved to Floyd County and farmed. They retired in 1980,
Mr. Scott was a veteran of World war II and served in the Army in France and Germany.
Survivors include his wife, Jene, rural Osage; three daughters, Mrs. John (Elaine) Caughron, Cedar Falls, Iowa; Mrs. Lyle (Betty) Anderson, Emmons, Minnesota, and Mrs. Mark (Patricia) Evans, Osage; three sons, Phillip, Boscobel, Wisconsin; Eldon, Forest City, and Kevin, Osage; 16 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Leona Wilkenson, Wood Lake, Minnesota, Mrs. Evelyn Skjeie, Chatfield, Minnesota, and Mrs. Omer (Irene) Kelly, Belmond; and three brothers, Willard, Clear Lake, Iowa, Harold, Fruitland Park, Florida, and Raymond, Taylors Falls, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

(biographical)Hans Scolt, R. F. D. No. 1 has received word that his son. Seaman Harold H. Scott, who entered the service Feb. 9, is now located at the U. S. Naval Training station, Farragut, Idaho. Mr. Scott has two other sons in the service, Pvt. Willard Scott, who enlisted last July and is now in Colorado, and Pvt. Eldo Scott, who was inducted last July and is at Camp Forrest, Tennessee. Another son, Raymond, 18, is anxious to enlist.
