Funeral services for Caius Anderson, 84, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center June 17, were held at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Lyle June 20th with the Rev. H. Luecke officiating. Burial was in Six Mile Grove Lutheran Cemetery with Rev. Luecke in charge of committal services.

Caius J. Anderson, son of Nels and Bertha (Qualley) Anderson was born in Mower county February 27, 1894. He was a lifelong resident of Lyle. He attended the Pinehurst rural school and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

September 8, 1935 he married Alma Lastine of Lyle in St. Paul, Minn. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church, the owner of the Anderson Auto Garage and an employee of George A. Hormel & Co. and a World War I veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Alma; one son, Paul J. Anderson of Wayzata, Minn.; his daughter-in-law, Rebecca and four grandchildren, Sarah, Gretchen, Lisa and Paul J. Anderson II; one sister, Manda Hansen of St. Ansgar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Alfred, Andrew and Oscar; three sisters, Mabel, Nora and Tillie.
