Funeral services for Arthur Anderson, 81, who died at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood October 6, were held October 9, at the Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Carpenter, with the Rev. Ervin E. Franke officiating.
Arthur Anderson, son of the late Andrew and Mary Anderson, was born June 4, 1897 on a farm in Worth county near Carpenter. He was baptized in infancy at the Deer Creek Lutheran church and later confirmed there.
Mr. Anderson lived on the same farm all his life, and retired three years ago. He became a resident of the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood in November 1977.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Oliver, Gustav, Clarence and Selmer; five sisters, Christina, Anna, Ida, Marie and Alice.
Mr. Anderson is survived by several nieces and nephews. Burial was in the Deer Creek Cemetery with Rev. Franke in charge of committal services.
