OSAGE, IOWA -- Funeral services were held here at the Champion Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. for Jay McPhail, 56, who died Thursday afternoon at the Presbyterian hospital in Waterloo. He had been ill since Friday with pneumonia.
Except for the past five years when he made his home in Waterloo, Mr. McPhail spent his entire life in Mitchell county.
Surviving are his widow and three sons, Lynn and Mervin McPahil of Waterloo, and Reed McPhail of Osage; three sisters, Mrs. Vet Emerson of Little Cedar; Mrs. W.O. DeLaney of Stacyville' Mrs. T.W. Morrissey of Waterloo; one brother, Al McPhail of Little Cedar.
Burial will be in the Little Cedar Cemetery.
