Maurice "Woody" Woodiwiss

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 24, 1988 at United Methodist Church, Osage for Maurice "Woody" Woodiwiss, 77, of Osage, who died Tuesday, September 20, 1988 at University Hospitals, Iowa City, of natural causes. The Reverend James S. Pittman officiated and burial was in the Osage Cemetery.

He was born in Little Cedar on July 29, 1911, the son of Charles and Martha (Turner) Woodiwiss. He attended Osage schools in 1929 and graduated from Osage High School.

He married Edna Beatrice Bradwell on October 3, 1937 at Grace Methodist Church, Waterloo. He lived in Osage where he was a car salesman and a Conoco Bulk Oil dealer. The last fifteen years prior to retirement, he was a custodian at Osage High School.

His parents; his wife; one brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Brad of Lone Tree; one grandchild; one brother, Lloyd of Reno, Nevada; and three sister-in-laws, Eunice Woodiwiss of Forest City, Dorothy Campbell of Waterloo, and Sally Vitteaux of St. Petersburg, Florida.
