Mildred Doudna
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 22, 1988 at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, for Mildred Doudna, 84, of Osage. The Reverend James S. Pittman pastor of United Methodist Church officiated and burial was in Osage Cemetery. She died Monday, September 19, 1988 at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Osage, of natural causes.
She was born February 28, 1904 in Mitchell County near Osage to Albert and Leona (Hart) Kildee. She attended Osage schools and graduated from Osage High School. She worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1963.
On June 22, 1963 she married Vivian Doudna in Osage. They made their home in Osage. Mr. Doudna died in 1976.
She was a member of United Methodist Church in Osage, Order of Eastern Star at Osage, and a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; and one stepson.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Mrs. Dean (Dorothy) Kindschuh and Mrs. Robert (Ann) Lewis, both of Osage; one sister-in-law, Leola Kildee of Fremont, Nebraska; eight grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren and one niece, Leona Irwin of Omaha, Nebraska.
