Vernice Haley
Funeral services were held November 13, 1988 at United Methodist Church, Riceville, for Vernice Haley, 89, of Riceville. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Riceville.
She died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 1988 at Spring Valley Hospital, Spring Valley, Minnesota, of natural causes. She was born on Oct. 28, 1899 in McGregor, Iowa, the daughter of Abraham and Jennie Bentley.
She married Edward Haley in 1920 in Charles City, Iowa. She farmed with her husband in the Riceville area.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include one son, Marvin of Riceville, two grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
