Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 1988 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, for Olive Hennessey, 90, of Osage, who died Sunday, November 13, 1988 at Faith Lutheran Home of natural causes. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
She was born February 17, 1898 in Freeborn, Minnesota, to William and Dora Trowbridge Bigelow. She attended schools in Freeborn, Alden and Albert Lea, Minnesota. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1915. She then attended Cedar Valley Seminary in Osage for one year. Olive then taught rural schools in Mitchell County for two years.
On August 31, 1918 she married Frank Hennessey at Osage. They made their home in the Osage area. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, Sacred Heart Ladies Gild, Flora Mae Tuttle Naturalist Club and Senior Citizens Club of Osage.
Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, one brother, and two sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Frances Kuykendall of Waverly; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and one daughter-in-law, Bertha Hennessey of Osage.
