Lucy Larson
Lucy Golden Larson was born September 28, 1916, at Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota to Henry and Alma (Golden) Nagle. She was baptized into the Christian faith April 10, 1938 and confirmed her faith the same day at Emanuel Lutheran Church Grafton, Iowa.
In September 1951 Lucy married Neul “Lucky” Larson at Osage, Iowa. She joined First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, Iowa February 10, 1963. Lucy had a beautiful voice and loved to sing, she also enjoyed bowling and gardening.
Lucy passed away on November 30, 1994 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center at the age of 78. Funeral services were December 3 at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, Iowa with Rev. Robert Porisch officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Neul Larson of St. Ansgar; two daughters, Gloria and Robert Steward of Fairbault, Minnesota; Bonita and Wayne Mayer of St. Ansgar; one son, Dudley and Linda Thompson of South Bend, Indiana; two sisters, Evelyn Goedken of Waterloo, Iowa; Ena Bell of St. Ansgar; ten grandchildren, Jerry, Thomas, and David Vroman; Donald Gates, Heather Thompson, John Thompson, Adam Thompson, Robyn and Gabriel Mayer, Daniel Stewart, and four great-grandchildren.
