DEBRA J. VOIGHT
OSAGE, IOWA — Debra J. Voight, 46, of Osage died Thursday (March 13, 2003) at the Faith Home in Osage. Debra was born in Osage on March 24, 1956, the daughter of Gene and Arliene (Wilde) Kuntz. She graduated from Osage High School in 1974.
She married Larry Voight on Sept. 13, 1975, at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. They lived on a farm near Osage. Debra was employed for 22 years at the Osage Farmers National Bank as a teller.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Guild in Osage. Debra loved gardening, quilting and attending school sporting events. She especially loved her family and friends.
The family suggests that memorials be given to the Debra J. Voight Memorial Fund.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, with the Rev. Philip Recker officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Osage. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1204 State St., Osage, with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m. There will be visitation one hour before services on Monday at the church.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Voight, of Osage; one daughter, Jennifer Christensen and husband, Craig, of Eagle Grove; two sons, David Voight and Nathan Voight, of Osage; parents, Gene and Arliene Kuntz, of St. Ansgar; five sisters, Kathy Willis and friend, Terry Masengill, of Dallas Center, Mary Nelson and husband, Ken, of St. Ansgar, Becky Juenger and husband, Brian, of Stacyville, Linda Schotanus and husband, Gary, of Grafton, and Janet Kuntz of Ankeny; three brothers, Robert Kuntz and wife, Judy, of St. Ansgar, Dennis Kuntz and wife, Joanne, of Clear Lake, and Doug Kuntz and friend, Trish Laning, of Des Moines; grandmother, Rose Wilde of Osage; father- and mother-in-law, Jim and Marcella Voight of Osage; three sisters-in-law, Janet Borcherding and husband, Mike, of St.Ansgar, Brenda Voight and friend, Steve Willey, of Owatonna, Minn., and Carol Peterson and husband, Kurt, of Mason City; one brother-in-law, Marvin Voight and wife, Barb, of Osage, and 24 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Russell Voight; grandfather, Roy Wilde, and grandparents, Fred and Lydia Kuntz.
